Can I Take The Plan B Emergency Contraception Pill While I Have A Yeast Infection?

I had protected sex (using the Today sponge and a condom) several times in a 12-hour period. The next morning, I developed a headache, and my genitals hurt. I waited 6 hours after the last intercourse to remove the sponge, and when I did, there was a lot of yellowish/brownish, rotten egg-smelling discharge. I think this means that I have a yeast infection.
I feel that the sponge was not positioned properly inside me, and I want to take the Plan B emergency contraception pill, but I want to know if it’s okay to take this pill despite my yeast infection. Please help!
